Yankee Clipper Plus (c)1997 J.LeVasseur
A clipboard add that is great. Freeware.

     The Yankee Clipper Plus (YC+) is a Windows95/NT4.0 clipboard memory/stacker that resides in the system tray. It acts as a silent sentry, continually watching the clipboard, waiting for a change in the text contents. If a change is detected, YC+ saves a copy of the clipboard contents in the event you may want to reuse it. Clicking on the little clipboard in the system tray brings the Yankee Clipper to the top or makes it visible if it was hidden. There is a read-only textbox at the top which contains the current contents of the clipboard. Directly below there is a listbox which displays past clipboard content. Double-clicking on an item in the listbox, or selecting with the arrow keys and hitting <Enter> will place that item back in the clipboard. this is a great program if you need to move multiple items to a clipboard and retrieve them later. A must for anyone that needs this ability.

     This program requires VB40032.DLL to work. This DLL file should be in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM folder. If you don't have this file e-mail me and I will send it to you. It is a 700K file but I can zip it to 300K it is your choice how I send it to you.

     This is a small zip file. If you don't have winZip just e-mail me and I can e-mail you the program directly. It is a self running program no install required, just upzip to a folder and double click the icon for YANKCLIP.EXE. Also included is a small calendar program.

CD Cases

    Here is a free gift for all Microsoft word users. I created a template you can use to make the paper inserts for the plastic CD Cases. Just press below to download the small zip file. Once downloaded unzip the file and place the CD-CASE.DOT file in your WINWORD\TEMPLATES directory. Or if you are using Microsoft office the templates directory is a sub directory under the MSOFFICE directory. To activate the template start Microsoft word hit FILE then NEW. Hit the GENERAL TAB, then double click CD-CASE and follow the simple directions that I have on the template. If you have a problem with zip files or you can't unzip files, just e-mail me and I will send the CD-CASE.DOT file direct to you. In the future I will be offering other templates just as my gift for visiting my site. These templates work best if you print them on card stock. not just regular paper.

VMM32 Error Umax scanner fix.

     I have run the patch and it seem to have taken care of the problem. This will only happen with Pentium II computers. I have installed the patch on 3 computers and it seems to work fine. Here are the directions on how to install the patch.

     When getting the VMM32.VXD errors on boot up of a PC, please follow the instructions below

     Print out these instructions so that you will have them handy throughout the process. Download the patch and leave it on your desktop for ease of running. Install the VistaScan software from your umax cd by doing a typical installation. Restart the computer. If windows will not start it will prompt you to go into safe mode enter safe mode, (you have to install the patch in the safe mode). Usually the computer comes up with the error that windows will not load hit any key to continue and the machine shuts off. After you turn it back on it will prompt you to enter safe mode.
Once in safe mode double click the umaxisll.exe on the desk top, when it prompts you for a location to unzip the file to unzip it to C:\windows make sure it is unzipped into the windows folder. After it is unzipped just hit start and shut down and re-start the computer. That is all you should have to do. There is no real program you have to run. What it will do is rearrange the virtual device drivers. But remember you must run the patch in the safe mode. That is the way I did it on 3 computers and they are all working fine.

     If you want further help form umax there number is below. I am glad that I could be of any help.

     This problem drove me crazy, and the bad part for me was I had my new Dell 333 for only 3 days when I tried to install the scanner and had the message about not being able to start windows. Even the people at Dell could not figure out the problem. They just pointed me in the right directions and told me that it was a virtual device driver and the only thing that I did was ad the scanner so that was the place to start.

FTPX 

This is the best FTP program that I have found. 
I use it to upload all of my web sites. 
It has an interface just like windows explorer. You can grab and drag files from your compute to the server. 
To get files from the server to your computer, double click the file on the serve. A box will pop up with (download to) select the location for the file and click ok.

Microsoft Access Software 
Inventory Data base

    I created a data base for tracking my software inventory. After a couple people asked me for a copy I thought of posting it here for free download. This is version 1, Version 2 will have the ability to store an unlimited amount of data per disk. If you are like me and make your own CDs keeping track of all the programs on a CD is hard. Version 2 gives you a sub form that will give you the ability to categorize each program on a CD. No matter how many programs you burn to one CD. 

ACCESS DATA BASE Version 1 will work on Access 2000 just do a conversion.

ACCESS DATA BASE Version 2  might not work on Access 2000 because of advanced database relationships. If you have a problem using it on Access 2000 email and I can convert it for you.

ACCESS DATA BASE Version 2 will work on Access 2000 just do a conversion.
